How Pyrate Uses AI
Pyrate uses artificial intelligence to help service professionals manage client communication and bookings. We want to be fully transparent about which AI we use and how your data is handled.
Which AI provider we use
Pyrate uses Anthropic's Claude models to power its AI assistant. When you connect your Gmail account, the content of relevant client emails is sent to Anthropic's API solely to generate replies and extract booking details on your behalf.
What Gmail data we access and why
- Read incoming client emails to understand booking requests.
- Compose and send replies on your behalf as your assistant.
- Mark messages as read after handling them.
We only process emails relevant to client bookings and communication.
How your data is handled
- Pyrate's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do NOT use your Gmail data to train, improve, or develop any generalized or foundation AI models. Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through its API.
- We do NOT sell your Gmail or email data, and we do NOT transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the AI features you requested (i.e., to Anthropic to generate responses), to comply with law, or in a merger with equivalent protections.
- We do NOT allow humans to read your email data except with your explicit consent, for security or abuse investigations, or where required by law.
- Email content is processed transiently to provide the feature and is not stored on Pyrate's servers beyond what is needed to show you the resulting booking.
Human oversight
AI-drafted bookings and replies are surfaced to the professional for review and approval inside the Pyrate app; the professional stays in control.
Your choices
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from account settings in the Pyrate app, which revokes Pyrate's access to your Gmail.
